Nike Courtballistic 4.3 or Asics Gel Resolution 5?

Hi im looking for a new shoe because my previous shoe (B7's) are really uncomfortable for me making me get blisters. Which one of these 2 shoes are better? (CB4.3, GR5)

Resolution 5. Asics are the best shoes.

I have both the CB 4.3 and the GR5. Personally, I like the GR5 a little better...more comfortable out of the box. But the CB 4.3 is great, too. Can't go wrong with either one, IMO.

the cb3's have wider toe box and are a little lower to the ground

Go for the Vapor 9's and you'll never go back. They really are that
comfortable!

think about Durable shoes vs comfortable shoes.
Asics might be comfortable than CB.
but CB last longer than Asics.

Comfort : Vapor 9 > Asics > CB
Durability : CB > Asics > Vapor 9 (horrible in my opinion haha)

Honestly, shoes is very hard to recommend because everyone has different shapes of foot. unless you know the exact culprit of blister problems, these shoes might give you same problems.

I'd probably recommend the CB 4.3s, simply because they can be had for 30-40% less here on TW. Both shoes are very comfortable, both with regard to their cushioning and their liable uppers. Also, both offer no break-in and very breathable uppers. Neither are as tough as the B7s, nor quite as stable, but both are great shoes. As a tie-breaker, may as well choose on price.

Comfort and fast feeling then the GR5.

CBs are great for Durability and have better support.

Thanks for the replies guys i get blisters from the barricade 7's especially on the arch and i heard some people feel a little discomfort on the arch area on the ballistec 4.3s, would the GR5's be better?

syke 04-23-2013 06:42 PM

which shoe has a bigger toe mount area than the vapor 9s?

You can't go wrong either, but I prefer the 4.3

You need to try them on. Adidas don't fit my arch properly at all but both Asics and Nike do. I had 3.3s then changed to GR4s last year when the air bubble cracked. I got a second pair of GR4s almost straight away, love them so much.

CB 4.3 all the way. Barricades feel clunky.
Vapors are flimsy + CB will be replaced by warranty for sole.

Asics, I got a middle model and it lacks supports, while the lining on the inside wears out pretty fast- I just walk in them.

Ive made my decision and i am going to go win the Cb4.3's but does anyone have any discomfort issues with them? and does it need a long break in period?

As an owner of 5 4.3s the break in period can be between 4 and 5 hours, this can be avoided if you loosen up the laces around your forefoot and tighten down up by your ankle. No experience with GR5s.

Thanks for your input, did you have any problems on the arch?

Lotto Raptors, that is all.

When I got my first pair I did(tightened it up too much), but I felt that they fixed the problems from the 3.3(worst arch support placement ever). Before you put them on bend them around a bit, make the toe touch the tongue. They are stiff at first but don't tighten them up so much that they cut circulation. Also really cushy socks make them feel better(like they do everything)

Seems like you already decided to go for the CB 4.3. I am also a Barricade 7 user using for something more fast feeling more comfortable and that fits my flat low arch feet better. I bought the CB 4.3 and tried it for an hour or so and I can say that it was the shoe that I mostly hated upon wearing ever!!! Trust me on that one, I am begging people to buy off of me on the tennis talk for sale thread so I shouldn't be saying this but I truly hate those shoes.

I ordered the Asics Resolution 5 and they felt majestic... exactly what I was going for. I'll sacrifice some shoe stiffness and stability for more speed and comfort. I'm not looking back and I am an asics fan for the time being.

Hopefully the CB4.3 works better for you than it did for me.
