Head QC

Ordering ONE head racket... are their quality control good?

If it isn't, is there any way I can make sure the specs are as close to as the ones listed on the info page?

Better than Babs or Wilson.
Just ask them to weigh your racket, for another $30 ....

Do you think it's worth it to spend the extra 30?

zapvor 05-14-2013 06:47 PM

you started the thread on the qc.....now you are asking us if its worth it

I bought a couple of months ago 2 Prestige Pros from TW. Balance is identical, static weight is .1 oz off. I didn't pay (didn't even know about it) for any racket matching service.

My two Extreme Pro 2.0's are very, very close.

eidolonshinobi 05-14-2013 07:49 PM

definitely not bad QC, but not great either.

But why would it matter if you only wanted one racquet?

Unless you had another one already, or plan to get one in the future. Just do the racquet matching service and save yourself the trouble.

Not for one, as you don't need matching different frames, Wilson is waaaay better than Head, I have had head frame crack without being dropped or smashed, had seen people around me had head crack without being dropped or smashed. Never see a Wilson crack for no reason and see lots of old Wilson around.

QC is not just about spec tolerance, the actual quality of the frame itself is very important.

I can tolerate a couple grams off and 1-2 HL difference... but not a whole .5 oz more like you see on some frames.

That's why I was asking if Head was off, cause I really like the specs I see on the Instinct MP and would like something as close to that...

We do have racquet matching services available if you are planning on purchasing through Tennis Warehouse.

The prices vary depending on services requested and it's best to give us a call or e-mail during business hours for an idea of what it would cost.
