This should go in the Tips/Instructions section

I don't get it. Didn't he win? Why would he do that...

Roger Wawrinka 06-29-2013 01:53 PM

Paire lost. Nice racquet break though!

Lukhas 06-29-2013 02:00 PM

He didn't win, blamed his mental, blamed the grass courts, blamed himself, blamed about everything in the world. He's like a (lesser) Tomic: very talented, but with a d!ck instead of a brain. Nobody likes him. Well, French people don't like anyone anyway. When they read Gasquet's interview whoch was IMO pretty fair to Tomic who played greatly, they're all "he has no mental, he's always tired, he'll never win anything". What they do to Bartoli is what American people do to the Williams in terms of badmouthing, if not worse. But when any French player gets a good win "see I told you he was great". He indeed is a d0uche, but he perfectly reflects the French mentality. D0uchebag for a country of d0uchebags, perfectly reflects the mentality here. No wonder Cantona didn't want to put his feets in France to play football ever again.

Typical Paire. I saw him play Kubot at Indian Wells this year and he whined the entire time nonstop. I left after a set and a half as the quality of play was low too.

Hes probably the kid of some rich industrialist and thinks his life is really difficult.

TennisandMusic 06-29-2013 04:57 PM

Whoops, my bad. Thought that was Janowicz. Duh.

zapvor 06-29-2013 09:35 PM

yea i tried talking to paire last year and he was pretty curt. i think its just his personality

I remember watching the French Open on ESPN and the commentators were speaking about Paire while he was playing. Apparently he is a rich son from some industrialist and he has his parents pay for everything. I thought that was interesting

It's totally false! This family isn't rich. The true story is that Paire has stopped tennis some month when he was younger and a friend of his family propose him to pay one year in a tennis school of is choice. Paire chose a tennis school and continue tennis. I'm french and i'm from Avignon so i know the story better than some people of the forum who are in my opinion too categoric about french mentality...

Il a quand même une quille à la place du cerveau... Bon, comme la majorité des personnes qui croient s'y connaitre parce-qu'ils lisent L’Équipe (faut voir les commentaires)... Faudrait pas qu'il se réveille trop **** le garçon.

Anyway, and by risking to be a broken record, he spends to much time complaining. His mental is failing him much more than his tennis.

Florico 06-30-2013 10:19 AM

Les commentaires de l'Equipe ou d'Eurosport je ne préfère pas les lire tant certaines personnes disent de la merde... Je ne prétends pas être un spécialiste en revanche je pense qu'il faut savoir garder un langage correct à l'égard des joueurs.

I'm not a tennis expert but i think that we must respect players.

Lukhas 06-30-2013 10:39 AM

Well, Paire has only one thing holding him back: his brain. He's already 24, so he isn't in a hurry but it's better if he figures it out really soon. I mean, I know only one guy who was a whiner and successful at the same time, it's McEnroe. He's filled with talent, not as much as Tomic, but a lot of talent. I don't think he wants to be a standard journeyman. A talented one, but a journeyman still.

Well, we'll see. Hope the best for him.
