Adidas gets inspiration from hot rods

Looks like adi took their time to overhaul one colorway of the cc's with some flames on the heel... thoughts?

While I'm generally a fan of "high visual clutter," especially as pertains to shoes, I find this kind of tacky. And I'm an Adidas fan as well.

I came up with a better one on the miadidas site. Just waiting for it to show up as a stock colorway. Maybe they'll comp me a pair or two for my "contribution."

What? You don't think Adidas & Nike aren't watching for and using better colorways than their own paid marketing and fashion folks can come up with? You probably also think the men's Wimbledon final wasn't fixed.

Isn't that the US open ball flame?

I find the whole midsole/heel area of the shoe to be quite tacky to be honest, but kudos to adidas for taking a shot at something different. Do you mind if we see your design? Some publicity wouldn't hurt:)

What in the world is that?!

If you pay close attention the flame is actually all through the shoe, quite opaque because it is on the inner layer of the shoe. Look closely.

I dig these. More than the ones that cooked yellow at every flavour (black, white) or the Roland-Garros ones.

That shoe looks like it was designed by an 8th grader.

The shoe is designed with the US Open summer series - thus the red/white/blue (duh) and the similar flame logo.

(Totally not tennis related)
They also get inspiration from the jungle
