Do you know the requirements needed to get a Dunlop Sponsorship?Preferred Player Package?

lightthestorm 07-21-2013 02:21 PM

Dunlop D-Squad

lightthestorm 07-21-2013 03:36 PM

D-Squad? Oh, just found out about it. But looking at the requirements.... I think you have to be at least top 50-100 in your country (USA for me) just to begin with.

Where did you find the requirements?

LeeD 07-21-2013 06:23 PM

Seems to me, only qualification you need is to be a junior player, dedicated as recommended by your tennis coach, and some $$$ to buy at a small discount for a starter set of a couple or rackets, some sets of strings, a stencil, and maybe a couple of t shirts.
For the money, if you search TW's stuff on sale, although it's mostly older stuff, you get a better deal.
Older stuff works just fine. If you can play like JamesBlake 5 years ago, you would be light years ahead of where you will ever be.

Probably would be a good thing if you're ranked on tennisrecruiting or another equivalent. Had a few friends who are listed and got a few calls from sponsors and universities.

lightthestorm 07-21-2013 07:56 PM

Even ADNA... who has the lowest qualifications requires at least a 2 star ranking. For companies like Dunlop though... I would imagine something harsher.

What's your sectional ranking and star?

thebossofbosses 08-14-2013 10:02 AM

I got a dunlop sponsorship

Tennisboy, what is your ranking, if you want a sponosorship than apply for Prince, Mantis, and Dunlop. I got accepted to all three. Send a nice email to kim.eppelsheimer@dunlopsports.com for a sponosrhsip, she replied to me within an hour or two. Good Luck!

thebossofbosses 08-14-2013 10:03 AM

I don't even have a top 100 section ranking, just state ranking.

thebossofbosses 08-14-2013 10:05 AM

Lightthestorm, you can get a Dunlop sponsorship in a heartbeat,I got denied to ADNA, if you want a sponsorship from Dunlop than just apply to the email I posted before.

As said, almost any school kid can qualify for the D squad program.
I recommedation from the tennis coach is a good thing to have.
Prior tournaments listed is also good.
And a brief paragraph saying you are dedicated to making yourself a better player, while maintaining some semblance of good grades.
