Racket weighting guidance

Hi. I use 12" of 1/4" (4 strips of 3") lead tape at 3 and 9 and 6" (2 strips of 3") at 12. I'd like to keep the swingweight and balance the same but move the sweet spot up a bit. I tend to hit most balls above center. I know I could move the weight to 10 and 2 but I originally put it at 3 and 9 to improve the stability overall. It's a Head Graphene Speed MP. Thoughts?

By adding the lead, you added SW and altered the balance.
Are you asking how to keep the old balance? Your sw is altered by the weight.

Yes I want to keep the swing weight and balance as close as possible to what I have now. I suppose I could just move 2 of the 3" strips from 9 to 10 and 2 from 3 to 2. That should help right? Is that a big enough change to matter?

Nope, SW is going up. 1 gram of lead at 12 = 3 SW units. 1 gram of lead at 3/9 = ~ 2 SW units. Easy enough to rebalance, but you cannot decrease SW. What I would do is gradually increase the amount of lead. You can feel the extra 3 SW units with 1 gram at 12.

This thread helped me tremendously, when I was looking for similar information.
