One 18x20 to rule them all.

Hey guys just trying to see if theres a consensus on the best 18x20 MP.

While i try to figure out how to make a poll, the options are

Prestige MP
Bio200
4d 200
Redondo MP
P1 18m
315 ltd 18m
x dual platinum
six one 95 18m
Blade 18m

Xonemains 08-22-2013 11:27 PM

That my friend would be the legendary PT57A

Hands down the best 18 x 20 and far too expensive

-Bobo- 08-22-2013 11:32 PM

Yeah I figured as much but looked at the prices and at the end of the day I don't want to reward head for making inferior versions for the public and pretending they're the same things.

Xonemains 08-22-2013 11:38 PM

The ig prestige mp is starting to get closer the the pt630 though.

But agree with you, pro stock should be available to the public at a higher price,

People would still buy them.

-Bobo- 08-22-2013 11:44 PM

Well the tecnifibre 315's seem to be along those lines. Light racquets with room for customisation and a few people who know their pro stock sticks say the feel is there.

The only reason I haven't already bought a pair is don't want to customize myself.

Best 18x20 racquet ever made aside from PT57A (Pro Tour) is the intelligence prestige mid plus also known as PT57E these two racquets in 18x20 will never be topped. The PT57A has the best feel hands down but really lacks power. The i.prestige mp has feel and it has power so in theory the i.prestige aka PT57E is ever better.

I would add PK QTour 295 in the list. It is lighter than traditional players specs but truly impressive.

-Bobo- 08-23-2013 02:42 AM

Isn't the qtour 295 16x19

Qtour 295 is also available with a 18x20 string pattern.

LoL, don't want to sound mean or anything since you're quite new,

But that's a funny FAIL, :)

Failing is prerequisite for development, no worries.
OT: I might be new to this board but not so within this sport.

I have a bit of experience with Head 18x20 frames....

For my game the best I have hit and I am lucky enough to own a matched pair is the Head i Radical MP L5 Made in Austria.

The only modification I made is 4" lead at 3/9 and TW leather grip. Perfection.

Can't disagree tho on the i Prestige MP (PT57E) brilliant frame!

maxrenn 08-23-2013 08:41 AM

It might not be the best but the Bio 300T is a contender no, epecially when modified? Or is 97" out of the running?

Centryx 08-23-2013 08:44 AM

Radical twin tube zebras!

Seth 08-23-2013 10:29 AM

I'm a big fan of the 6.1 95 18x20 frames. Every generation is great.

However, the most utilitarian frame (most good for the most people) would have to be the Radical MP.

+1

Can't believe it took that long.

I've never been an 18x20 guy but in the last couple years I've tried a few out. The Tecnifibre 315 Ltd 18M was better overall than the Donnay Pro 1 18x20 (& Donnat X-Dual Pro) and the other 18x20 I gave serious run with, the Dunlop F3.0 Tour. The 315 beat the Dunlop on feel and I felt they were equal in terms of power & spin. The Pro 1 had a good feel but lacked the power for me. Side note, my Prince Precision Response OS has a 18x21 pattern and I'd call that my favorite!
