Asics Gel Resolution 5 Success

After several bruised toes, lost toe nails, and sprained ankles, I believe I finally found a combination that works. Asics Gel Resolution 5, a full size bigger than usual, with thorlo level 2 or 3 socks. After the insoles wore out, I replaced them with Sof Sol gel athlete replacement insoles, and the sneakers feel even better. I have flat feet, with osteochondritis in my ankles, and have tried many different models to no avail. I'm usually a size 9.5. I think I'll be sticking with these Asics with this combo for a while.

Good to hear. They GelRes 5 are great shoes and going up a size was smart. Many hours of happy tennis ahead for you.

I've had the same issues with toes... I found the Thorlos level 3 to be ok... but if you haven't tried them, consider the Nike Elite Basketball 2 layer socks... Best out there IMO for the thicker, high wicking sock.

I moved on to the Babolat Propulse 4's after some heel injuries. Although I understand the strap is inferior to the predecessor models, so far so good in terms of keeping my toes from getting bruised. And they are very comfy (but I always swap out for softer insoles). Hoping to get my hands on some 3's, but hard to find. Also loving the Nike double layer elites -- very hard to find though.
