Although growing up I knew older gentlemen who had some in their collection, I haven't ever tried playing with one.
A friend of a friend has one in near mint condition sitting at his home he'll give me for $10. What should I look for in terms of wear? If it was kept in a garage would it be warped?
The only real experience I've had with a wooden racquet is the Noah one I used several years back until it cracked.
$10 is a deal since its one of the better wood rackets produced.
Hopefully not too much court rash on top or sides.
Also best if lays flat on both sides, thus no warpage.
You should enjoy hitting it.
If it has old syn gut strings then they may play sorta dead but the flex of the woody will still make hitting fun.
