HEAD YouTek IG Speed MP 315 (18/20) - Fake?

There was a crazy deal at SportCheck for $60CAD. Normally these go for around $200 CAD. So I got a few but I wondered if such a big retailer could have fallen for fakes. I tried to find some info online but there was not much. Maybe you guys can comment based on the photos below:

OMG! Sorry, never thought posting photo would be so complicated

Here is another try:

Looks perfectly normal to me. Why do you think it's fake?

look normal to me also, one thing though is that the racket came prestrung, which mean it was sold as a demo to the store, and demo cost less to purchase then the one the store sell for retail

Thanks guys! I just couldn't believe the price and started thinking about the reason it was so cheap. lol
The string it came with is a joke. Doesn't even have any writing on it and it creates lots of vibrations. I will definitely have to restring it.

Did you weigh it? I bought one the bay and it weighs far more than 315 grams. A Head rep told me there are a lot of fakes available (for a lot of different frames).

@sovertennis: The thing is it's supposed to be 315g without string. I will have to cut the string to measure properly. How much did yours weigh? Did yours end up being fake?

Are there any other signs to look for?

It would be pretty big news if we discover that the largest sports retailer in Canada sells fake equipment.

The one I got weighed about 330 grams before I strung it, so strung and with an overgrip it's about 350g, which is what my original one (sent to me directly from Head) weighs with some lead in the hoop and handle. I have no idea what to look for to determine if it's fake (or am I saying that the one you bought is a fake). Regardless, good luck with it because it's a good frame, particularly with some lead added.

it looks real to me.

Are you sure it's not the IG Pro model which has 335 grames ?
Usually fakes have less than 300 grames . A real IG Speed has a code printed on the exterior of the grommet at 5 o'clock on one side of the racket.

No, prestrung racquets are not necessarily demos.

Big boxed sporting goods stores get many racquets prestrung. Perhaps, they find it easier to sell frames like that.
