Should be one per customer if you ask me.

You know, to prevent hoarding.

sargeinaz 01-15-2014 09:03 AM

Uh oh. Some people here are going to be really excited for this.

maxpotapov 01-15-2014 09:23 AM

What????????!!!!!!!

dgoran 01-15-2014 09:24 AM

Yesss I will finally be able to beat my 5.0 friends

Overdrive 01-15-2014 09:27 AM

There are 12 PC600s in the picture.. Say Chi Sin Lo is going to buy all of them..

EDIT: Nevermind, there are some anomalies in the bunch.

dgoran 01-15-2014 09:30 AM

They look used...I am hoping for new pro stock

anubis 01-15-2014 09:38 AM

If I bought one, I wouldn't even use it. I'd freeze it in carbonite and hang it from my wall -- for all to see.

Shangri La 01-15-2014 11:58 AM

So are they already customized for certain pros or they're in stock form?

Negative, I don't play with my PC600s anymore. And if I want to oogle at one, I still have one brand new in plastic wrap to hang on my wall.

But does that mean I'm not excited about this release? No way, I'm very happy with this release.

chrisberchris 01-15-2014 12:25 PM

Honestly, I wouldn't want to pay more than $100 a frame.

Have you played with one?

phishbiscuits 01-15-2014 03:32 PM

I definitely got swept away in "pro stocky-ness" (see signature).

I love the PJ dimension, but overall, it's not really worth the inflated price. Believe me, I know... I'm still paying down a credit card!

From the image posted on FB, many looked used - a number of the frames have Tourna grips on them.

Technically, a PT630 in a PT630 PJ is a pro stock, but there's no difference!

PC600 = PT10
PT630 = PT57a
iPrestige = PT57e and so on...

Despite this, I'm a hypocrite, because I still want more. It's an addicting habit. But, part of the fun is hunting them down all over the world.

phishbiscuits 01-15-2014 03:33 PM

Well. I mis-typed. There are differences in flex and so forth, so I wonder if TW will run them through an RDC to give us full specs.

Time to resurrect the "Head Pro Stock Code" thread...

hrstrat57 01-15-2014 05:22 PM

Limit should be 2 frames to allow buyer chance to get a closely matched pair....

I need to stay away this is very bad for moi.

parasailing 01-15-2014 10:49 PM

I noticed on the great auction site listings that mention PT 630 and PT 280 are one and the same. Are they the same racquet, if not, what's the difference?

They also list it as a PT57A. Are all three the same racquets?

The 630/280 are different names to fit into marketing that was different between the US and Europe, 630 relates to the cm² headsize. The pt57a is the pro stock version of that same frame that was made for pros lighter so they could customise it.Sometimes it would of been under the pt630 paintjob then as they were replaced in the shops it would be the same frame painted as whatever s new that year.
There is a lot of info on here about them probably far more detailed than what I have just typed though!

dgoran 01-16-2014 06:44 AM

IMHO they are not the same I tried both side by side and 280 felt a lot stiffer while 630 were softer

PT280 MiA?
Both set up the same?

I have quite a few of PT280 MiA and PT630's and they all feel very soft and similar. However, the 280's had that dampening crap under the pallet that may have altered the feel (I took that out on my 280s)...

phishbiscuits 01-17-2014 09:01 AM

Those red rubber thingies?
