MATCH: NADAL vs. BAGDHATIS

this one will be interesting. both guys are quick and hit the ball really well. it'll be good tennis. im going for bagdhatis but, a rematch with nadal and federer would be nice.

Bogie 03-16-2006 10:46 PM

im goin with nadal, just too much intensity for bags to handle. rafa is just a beast out there and when it comes down to a few big moments in a match where he is evenly matched with his opponent, his mental intensity can usually pull him through. so im gonna have to go with rafa on this one.

bagung 03-16-2006 10:54 PM

how is nadal's leg? i hope he is healthy enough to beat bagdhatis, and beat federer in the final

Fedfan4life 03-17-2006 12:27 AM

Pls don't write off Federer right away. Remember Nadal was 2 points from losing to Roger in the 2nd set of the final in Dubai

Eh? Nadal vs. Baggy is a quarter final match.

Tezuka Kunimitsu 03-17-2006 04:13 PM

my vote goes to nadal. just because I think he will out due bagdhatis.

TLM_01 03-17-2006 07:39 PM

Watching it now. Looks like its going to be a good one.

freshman_phenom 03-17-2006 08:02 PM

Baggy...because..."He bounces the ball through his legs from behind his back"

buder 03-17-2006 08:16 PM

Nadal is a tiger and baggy is the hunted. man versus boy. different class. Nadal is the king, baggy is his servant. Straight sets -- despite Baggie's service break in the 1st.

Hoot 03-17-2006 08:24 PM

Re

Well Bags fell a part after losing the 1st set.

jamauss 03-17-2006 09:02 PM

LOL it's funny how hard Nadal is making Baggy work to not get bageled in the 2nd set.

Bogie 03-17-2006 09:04 PM

nadal is about to win.

first set and the last game is awesome.

Spoiler. You'd better edit that quick.

hyperwarrior 03-17-2006 09:16 PM

The 2nd set described why Nadal is the raging bull. He's a bully tennis player. lol

tlm 03-17-2006 09:44 PM

Nadal is taking over mens tennis, that match is just another example of how much of a badass nadal is.Bags hung for a while, then got mowed over by the machine.I would say blake has a better chance of beating nadal than fed does.If blake plays like he did today,so all you fed fans start pulling for blake.

Juan Pablo Montoya 03-18-2006 01:00 AM

The final game was funny. Nadal kept his foot on the pedal even after a 5 love lead in the 2nd. He made baggy earn that last game. He worked so hard and still got bageled.

Amone 03-18-2006 05:10 AM

I'd say that this is interesting not because Nadal is a badass (well, he is, but that's another story) but because not two months ago, every guy on here was worried Nadal's career was over, and they're probably still saying that about Safin. Now Nadal beat FedEx in Dubai, and he's gunning to get to the finals of the PLO. Yep. Career's over. Totally. :eyeroll:

Absolutely. :eyeroll: smile, laugh, ahhem, wink, smile, laugh.

Now.
Maybe it is just me, but, does anyone else get a little agitated when we use netspeak and abbreviate this tournament's name into "THE P.L.O."? Every time I see that, I think of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Fellow tennis fans: please, please, please, let's call this tournament what everyone in the game actually calls it: Indian Wells.

Sorry, but while I'm being cantankerous... I just think calling a tournament by the title sponsor's name is too convenient. And unweildy in this particular case.

Hyperwarrior is right. Nadal is a raging bull. His intensity and will to win is amazing. An absolute pleasure to watch this guy play.
