Can someone plese explain what this means. "Easier because of the friction from the previous string" is unclear and I'd like to know the physics/reason behind stringing one ahead being faster.

Is natural gut playable if I pull it from an old racquet (one piece) and then restring it in my current frame (just the crosses as there won't be enough length for the whole frame)?
