Good question but hard to answer when the manufacturers don't even post the racquet specs. Basically gotta choose by color or spend a fair amount of time measuring and demo-ing sticks.

why use lockout for crosses?
Does this prevent the gut to be pulled at an awkward angle? B/C when I string the prince OX3 w/ the lockout, it looks like I'm pulling at an awkward angle to the frame.

easy to replace
they use old style lead-acid batteries like in your car. Once charge depleted over time (ie months), they often cannot hold a charge. It's super easy to replace, battery leads have plastic clips...
