There's a fine line between cheapskate and being ridiculous....I believe you would be crossing that line! The only way I would reuse string is to practice stringing, but I wouldn't expect my racket...

The main reason is that the starting clamp seems to be a little hard on the string. I wanted to see if the starting pin way would cause less damage to the string.

When installing crosses with flying or floating clamps you must pull tension on the first two crosses at the same time. Putting a scrap of string in your clamp like what is on the video does nothing...

Which side of the weight are you setting your tension from? Should be the left side, I know it sounds silly but I have read where people get confused and use the right side of the weight.

I did use these on a head racket with fan pattern...

I did use these on a head racket with fan pattern and the stringway clamp works well.
