Certainly I am aware of the lifetime guarantee.
And yes, I sent it back, and a few weeks later received an email stating they would not replace this, as it did not appear to be broken under normal use. Again, I am very pleased with my Klipper overall. I was not fond of their clamps anyway (they slip much worse than the Gamma).
