had mine since 1996, very happy with it...granted, it is not the best looking one out there, but it does the job well...saved myself a lot of money because i like to try different string set up and also am a frequent string breaker...
as for the clamp, it is a little on the slippery side (does not hold on to the strings as it did when it was brand new), but with a little sand paper, it works well again...
i would definitely recommend this for someone who is brand new to stringing...1) because it is cheap, in case you find that stringing your own racquet is not your thing 2) portable, very easy to move from one place to another, or just throw it in the back of your car if you need to set up a temp. stand for your friends in a tourney 3) sturdy, hasnt have any problem yet
