Many Völkls, including the C7 pro (I believe) had some fiberglass in the early-to-mid 1990s. I have yet to find a current racquet that I like as much as my Fischers.
Yes, screw kevlar, fiberglass is the way to go.

If I remember correctly, even newer Völkls than that had fiberglass in them. I also must admit that I share your feelings regarding Fischer. Great sticks!
