I don't know if it was his last pro match, but Bill Tilden lost in 5 sets first round of the 1946 U.S. Pro, also at age 53.

Being barely able at 48 to change directions on a court without injuring something, I am utterly astounded at what some of these players have done.
In my youth I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around.
