We all have our tastes,I'm sure, but the consensus is that clay court tennis is boring. Grinding ain't as much fun as attacking tennis/shotmaking to watch for the majority. That's not to say that the odd high quality match on clay isn't fun, but in general it's not.
I enjoy watching long rallies, but seeing it running 30 shots and ending with a mistake, rarely with a winner isn't what would make it spectacular. It's a different kind of show where you can appreciate the hitting for a different reason, although clay does have the hang of putting the best and biggest hitter a notch in front of the rest.
Up to my taste, the best matches are played in Cincinnati and at Flushing Meadows.
