Connors reached his first Grand Slam semifinal in 1974 and his last in 1991. This is a gap of 17 years. For Federer to achieve this, he would have to reach a Grand Slam semifinal in 2020. This seems near impossible.
How about Rosewall's winning slams 19 years apart (i.e. Australian Championship 1953 and 1972)?
