Yes you are correct. FSU had 48 in the first half and was scoring on every possession, even with the starters benched, so it looks like they would have dropped 80-90 down. So indeed people did lose winnings. The more I think about it, the more people got screwed because it was the highest spread in history. That alone makes me think hardcore gamblers got in on it, just to be a part of that.
