When you're not a traditional football power (Alabama, LSU, USC, ND, Michigan and some others), it's harder to recruit blue chip kids. Oregon has differentiated themselves with uniforms. They're eye catching, and they get a lot of buzz...Any press is good press in this regard. The fact that we have a locker room that rivals most in the NFL, the connection with Nike, the speed of the offense and the teams success obviously also help immensely.
It's clearly working for Oregon. In the last 12 years the program has gone from a perennial bottom dwellar to a perennial top 10 program.
They were a pretty good program 10 years ago before they switched uniforms. They werent as good as they have been the last 3 or 4 years thats for sure but didnt Joey harrington take them to the Rose Bowl in their old unis?
