Our fall league matches go from Sept to late Jan. Fall matches do count toward year end ratings. There are people who get ESR ratings in August and then get different year end ratings. If the fall league didn't count, the ratings wouldn't change at all for anybody. There is a cutoff date, but I am not sure if the exact date is published. It is definitely after Nationals and probabaly some time in November. It really shouldn't matter though- unless you are trying to manipulate your year end rating.
