I've tested the tension for both a Star 5 and Baiardo with a cheaper Gamma String Calibrator and both are dead on when set to 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 pounds. I figured I didn't need to check any other tensions.
The only difference is the Star 5 pulls a little faster and shoots past the set tension by around 2-3 pounds before settling back to the set tension. Almost like prestretching the string. The Baiardo pulls a little slower and hits the set tension and stays there. The plus is you can also set the Baiardo to pull even slower which I heard is best for stringing polys.
