Try Prince Premier Attack. You can give it to him for the same price as Sensation. It will be an easy transition, it will probably play better, and it will last longer. You can even ask him if he likes it in natural or black. They play the same either way.

I agree that RIP C will play differently. Using it in the cross may be the best way to gain durability without losing the feel of sensation.
Although, like Ramon said, Premier attack may play even better.
