I will not consoel the Melk Maids. Anyone who goes to that level to root for Melky Cabrera is not worth consoling.

Anyway back to the triple Crown and Miggy. Hes pretty much got it locked up IMO. I guess Hamilton can pull off the 4 HR day like he did in BMore earlier this year and beat him in RBIs as well

The triple crown has been won 16 times by 14 different dudes. Rogers Hornsby and Ted Williams are the ones with multiples. Its been 11 different players since 1900.

1878 Palu Hines Providence Grays
1887 Top Oneill STL Browns
1894 Hugh Duffy Boston Beaneaters
1901 Nap Lajoie PHI A's
1909 Cobb Tigers
1922 Hornsby Cards
1925 Hornsby Cards
1933 Jimmie Foxx PHI A's
1933 Chuck Klien PHI Phillies
1934 Gehrig Yanks
1937 Joe Medwick Cards
1942 Ted Williams Red Sox
1947 Williams again
1956 Mickey Mantle
1966 Frank Robinson BMore
1967 Yaz Bos

Frank Robinson only hit 316 when he won his title. Not paul hines in 1878 (60 game season) Ty Cobbs 9 HR and 107 RBIs are the lowest of the winners. Paul Hines and Tip Oneil are the only two of the actual triple crown guys to not be in the HoF.

And then there have only been 11 guys with a career triple crown Pujols, Babe Ruth, DiMaggio, Aaron, Mize, Andres Gallaraga, Bonds, Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez and Heinie Zimmerman (dead-ball era HR leader in 1912 with 14)
