Fed is playing Basel but is Novak playing that. I heard not?

You're right; Fed's 1515 points behind Nole. Assuming Fed and Nole meet in the finals of Shanghai and Bercy and Fed takes both, the lead will have been cut to 715. If Nole gets tripped up early and Fed wins both tournies, then Nole's lead is cut by more points. The key is that Fed has to win both.
I'm not quite sure how it will play out from there. If Fed wins Basel, he obviously gets 500 towards the race, but what about Nole? Is he playing Basel?
