The current #70 doubles player in the world is Andre Begemann. As most people at that level he plays both doubles and singles.
His combined earnings for 2012 is $55,277 USD. He has played in 24 tournaments in 11 different countries. He was able to win or make the finals in several tournaments. He won $472 for winning the USA F7 Future, $247 for making the finals in the USA F8 future, $625 for making the finals in a challenger in Mexico.
I don’t know how you can consider this “good money”. I don’t think you can even pay the travel cost.
