I'm a tennis guy. I enjoy reading most tennis publishing. Lately I've started to embrace (soccer) football beyond the once-every-four-years World Cup. Now I've started to read soccer histories beginning with a scholarly yet breezily written tome the size of a phonebook. A bit like "Soccer: A History by Anthony Beevor", if Anthony Beevor were to write about soccer.
I can't understand the American obsession with college sports, and statistics in American sports.
