at a denizen of the uk wimbledon is given wall to wall coverage on bbc1 and bbc2 for 2 weeks..it always fills my head with classic memories of rushing home from school in the 1980s or staying in to catch some of the action..
some of the early memories get a bit confused but i remember seeing some of the 1977 wimledon final on tv when i was five, definately remember virginia wade winning the womens singles and also some bloke with a funny name (borg) which i kept shouting out BORGBORGBORGBORG and the other bloke with a bowl cut hairdo like i had, (connors).
