Without pops , my problem with college is tennis today is a real full time job on tour , college there are study's that take place after long hours in the class room then you get a little practice 2 hrs a day , extra time is for sleep and rest .
Practice at the very top schools will be at or near the NCAA limit of 20 hours a week. That is more than enough to prep for a pro career. Yes there will be 10-12 hours a week of class and some homework but that part is very doable. On the pro tour it is hard to train and get the right variety of hitting partners. You have to be a finished product just needing match toughness and play. Did the coaches at UVA and USC tell you he should be looking to go pro? I don't think so. Those schools would be perfect to get him ready for the next level. I have more faith in those colleges and coaches than the Academies.
