What's scarier than the possibility that dude is on coke is the fact that he very likely
isn't on coke.
Anyway, that's Christian Vander, ex-jazz drummer and all-around strange guy. He's a fantastic drummer, antics aside. He writes all of the band's lyrics in a conlang (invented language) called Kobäian, which he created himself ("advanced" fans of the band supposedly can speak it). Magma's albums all tell a single, evolving sci-fi story, and have for almost 40 years. The older female singer is Vander's wife.
Amazing band. Not for everyone's tastes, though.
