If I ever think I am getting hooked, instead of asking "are you sure?", I remain quite and calm and just play on.
When an opponent hits a ball I am 99.9% sure it is out (like close to my body behind the baseline) but I can't say for certain, I say "nice shot" .
Once your opponent realizes you play fairly, I would guess 95% of my opponents start making better calls. I sure can't see the baseline from behind the baseline, but I seem to get a lot of balls called good thatI think I hit long.
Being a gentleman on the court, tends to bring out that quality in the opponent in my experience. Yes, there are exceptions. Thankfully they are rare.
