In the mid 70s I went to an amusement park (Knott's Berry Farm). They had a free concert featuring Frankie Avalon. He's best known for 50s pop music and early 60s Disney "beach" movies. Anyway, I went. I was prepared to be bored and ultimately, leave. But he was entertaining. He mentioned that when he first made records in the 50s he held his nose to give himself a distinctive sound. I was pleasantly surprised.
If you cannot set a good example, you will have to serve as a sad reminder.
