They were based in Macon, GA...a scant 150 miles from FSU campus (Tallahassee), where I worked part-time on the stage crew while studying. I worked six shows they did, three while all were alive, two after Duane died and the final gig after Barry Oakley died. Just incredible vibe to every gig and very long regular and encore encore was as long as most standard sets from current touring bands!

What I really would have loved seeing was Duane and Eric taking Derek & The Dominoes on tour! "Key to the Highway" is an all-time favorite of mine...two so distinctly outstanding lead riffs in one song!
