I trained one women client who was 5'2 96 pounds and she wanted to get down to 86 pounds since she thought she was over weight, fat and thought would run a faster marathon at a lighter weight. She read this in some book. She ran slower at 92 pounds. I improved her performance with strength training and she ran a PR 3:15 @ 106lbs. Just listen to your Tennis Coach, or Strength Coach or College trainer.
