Skip all that "fitness" stuff, your time would be better spent hitting as many balls as you can. Playing tennis will make you fit, the racket doesn't way a pound and the balls a few ounces. Swimming is good to stretch out and a little light resistance work. It's easy to hit the ball a mile out into the street, it's hard to develop the neuro-muscular skills to keep it in the little box, the more balls you hit the better.

Oh, and don't forget to get a great coach, even Fed has a coach. See if you can steal Ivan away from the Scot. I'm impressed with how much he's done with the kid in such a short period of time, not to mention how much fun he is to be around.
