It's not a waste of money when you lose. It opens your eyes to a type of player that you don't have the tools to beat. You will encounter pushers at age 8, 12, 18, etc. No, you don't want to play them all the time. You can't avoid them and will need to figure out a way to win when someone bunts the ball back.
