Yes, he has to first get committed to a college and the college coach can easily say no. If he could not further improve his game in a year or so, playing the Future qualification would also be a waste of time for him. In addition, my son will likely have better experience in the Futures after he becomes stronger and finishes his college. Being a tennis pro is never a part of his/our career planning.
