Inside the handle or under the grip--it's all the same distance from the balance point. The easiest way is to mark the balance point BEFORE you add weight at the top. Then, after you add it, place the racket on the balance point and place your weight on the handle to bring it to balance. Then, take off your grip and add it to that spot. This lets you choose how much weight you're going to use also. You could add more weight, but closer to the balance point, or add less weight near the butt cap. You may want to decide what you want the static weight to be before you try balancing.
