Lleyton Hewitt wasn't as liked as Novak Djokovic, he was actually hated for a while during his short lived reign at the top.

Hewitt wasn't even cheered for during the 2005 Australian Open final, most people cheered against him as they wanted Safin to win. Hewitt was not a likeable guy at all, Djokovic is way more liked than he is. What's ironic is they have similar playing styles except Djokovic is more robotic and efficent than Hewitt could ever dream to be.
