In 2007 Madrid M-1000 Nalbandian defeated nš2 Nadal in the QF, nš3 Djokovic in the SF and nš1 Federer in the Final.

Two weeks later, in Paris-Bercy M-1000 he defeated nš1 Federer in R16 and nš2 Nadal in the Final.
