The frame doesn't necessarily have to be HL to fit into your groove/game. Some frames with a "polarized" setup swing just as fast, but carry a much better punch.
I used to swear by HL frames, static weight this/that, but after a few years of TTW threads/lead tape experiments, I've come to the conclusion that a frame that plays "X" pts HL can play just the same, if not better, as a "0" pt HL frame that's been modified.
