Agree with Irvin above. It's important to understand the basics of stringing, figure out what you want to accomplish with your stringing, and how many racquets do you potentially see yourself stringing?
If it's just for you, or a family member...it's not worth putting in a potentially big investment, because it will take quite a while to make it back. However, if you're really just looking for a great machine, and want a high quality one because you enjoy the process of stringing, then by all means, get the best you can afford!
