It is also true that players of the same level with a 2 handed BH can do this. That is the key difference and only thing that matters here.
Depends on the level. I see 4.0-4.5 guys with good 1HBH that hit topspin on the rise all the time. 3.0-4.0 guys with not so good BHs just slice them on the rise.
But saying the 1HBH is not suited for rec level tennis is ridiculous considering how many people use it and are successful with it at every NTRP level. Are 2HBH better than 1HBH at rec level? - yes in general mostly because there are so many bad 1 HBH at the 3.0 and 3.5 levels.
