Maybe I'm so use to heavier racquets ( 11.9 ounces and higher ) or maybe it's the Basalt material but this racquet feels really light, holding it as well as swinging it. I've tried other racquets that are around 11.5 ounces but the Steam 99s still feels lighter than them.
It just doesn't have the plow-through I was hoping for.
Otherwise, everything else is spot on by other reviewers (the higher trajectory, the frame stiffness, the extra spin, etc.).
Does anyone have the same problem with the lack of plow-through?
Yes, noted by me and both guys I mentioned above who liked the 99s except for the plow-thru. I used that term asking them both today that was the issue, both said they could not put their finger on it.....but I need that plow for my swing and the 99s does seem lower there.
