I explained one way to mitigate it above... always take the insoles out after use and allow them to dry completely. When sweat has been forced into the soles it's not going to go away unless you dry them. My first pair that did it Nike replaced for the reasons it was a manufacturing fault
, not a warranty/wear issue. Nike will replace any shoe they make for manufacturing fault reasons regardless
of whether you have a receipt for them.
The second pair of mine only do it after I've used them a couple of days in a row without enough time to dry them fully.
