He's too inconsistent and has been battling with Nadal, Federer and Djokovic for the past 6-7 years
Hopefully the surgery will help him maintain a high level for a decent period of time. It will be interesting to see how he schedules next year, because I'm convinced that this year he was deliberately leaving gaps specifically to rest his back.
I'm glad the surgery seems to have gone to plan. It will take much longer to find out how effective it's been, and how he'll recover, so I don't want to get ahead of myself.
