Question The Wall Street Journal attacking Tsonga for his jokes about hormones???

I think there are crazy stuff around here.

Tsonga was having some fun about the volatility of ladies tennis

http://www.tennistonic.com/view_tennisnews?nid=1723

and the Wall Street Journal attacks him?
http://blogs.wsj.com/dailyfix/2013/0...ennis-atp-wta/

I found this really crazy!

ps. they also talk crap saying that the volatility is because ladies play best of 3 matches in slams (not best of 5 like men), but in recent years all 1000 ATP master champions were the top 4 with the exception of a couple of Bercy (top players do not give a damn of it and Indian Wells).

The Murdoch Press owns the Wall Street Press so it's essentially fiction and propaganda.

Maybe they put all the humourless pseudo-leftists on the sports pages so that they can call themselves 'balanced and fair'.

The media will sensationalise and glorify anything they get their hands on.

Describing this WSJ article as an "attack" on Tsonga is rather odd. Did you read the article? It fairly gently points out that Tsonga should have considered other possible explanations, then goes on to describe those explanations.

Tsonga was trying out his comedy routine, so the piece is just stupid.

1) He was kidding (even though he and everybody else knows its partly true)

2) Just that. It's partly true.

aside from whether his comments were PC or not, the "analysis" by the WSJ is what one has come to expect from them now that they are owned by those who shall not be named, i.e. rubbish.

why not look at how the top 4 have actually performed in 3 set format tournaments rather than cutting their 5 set results short by two sets? they obviously don't play tennis.

First of all, it isn't a report of the news, it is a personal opinion blog of one of the writers. Second, it offers an explanation of why having best 2 of 3 could lead to more upsets in the WTA. And at no point does it actually attack Tsonga.
